I think I'm done with this homework, but I'd like some feedback... would you pay good money for a calendar with such images? You can see the images alone in previous posts.

| New Community... Pretty Geek! |
[Aug. 28th, 2008|11:21 am] |
Moderators... please feel free to delete this post if I'm violating the community rules.
I've set up a community for photos of people who prove that "GEEK" can be pretty. And, well, I know many Goths, and many Geeks, and surprisingly, they tend to be the same people! So, I figured that some of the members here might want to know about it.
We've already got a pretty good sized membership, but we're looking for more. After all, the world needs more pretty. Come and check us out at </a></b></a> prettygeekcomm! Then join up, check out the rules for posting, and show us YOUR stuff!
And, since all of the posts to gothic_babes should be pic posts, let me post this one, of the lovely gothkttnofdoom(posted with her permission). This was actually the first post on prettygeekcomm.

We don't have any pets... yet, I'm hoping to persuade my other half to let me have a house bunny for my birthday. In the mean time here are a couple of photos from a few weeks ago.

Bryant Park Wednesday August 27, 2008
In 10 days I will be a resident for about 12 hours a day, for seven days here at Bryant Park. The covering on the Foyer is nearly up. In the back one can faintly see the fountain, with a crane nearby. In the second shot we see the Aggreko power routers which soon will be connected to generators that will provide electrical power to the tents. These units allow me to shoot all week at ISO 400 at 1/250th of a second at f5.6. Finally, here is the view from the NYPL. Center is the The Tent, to the right The Promenade, and to the left The Salon. Soon the framework of those tents will go up, and the real work will get underway. |

| Delft (Netherlands), part 1 |
[Aug. 27th, 2008|08:22 pm] |
I took a couple of pictures in Amsterdam after leaving the Torture museum and then, we went to eat seafood at Lucius. We got the big seafood platter fort wo and it was delicious!!! And you already know my thoughts on the cook... aaaaahhhh, delicious too! :p
( 2 random pics of Amsterdam... )
The next day, we went to visit the town of Delft. It's a town famous for its white and blue potteries and the painter Vermeer. There also a nice murder story about Guillaume d’Orange. It was cold and rainy, so we visited the church with the huge mausoleum and the Prinsenhof museum. I don't hate the painter Vermeer, but I'm never really attracted to museums that are all about one painter. I prefer variety, so we went for the murder/history/science museum. ;) That'll be for another post though, cause you know... too many pictures. ;)
( Delft... )
It's a pretty town, isn't it? I wish we could have spend more time outside.

( The church... )
Oooohhh!

( Inside the church... )
There were old tombstones everywhere on the floor.

Much like Forest Lawn, I knew that I had to shoot in the Japanese Garden here in Buffalo at some point. The location is just breathtakingly gorgeous and is truly one of my favorite places to be here in the city.

Bryant Park August 26th, 2008
In 10 days I will be a resident for about 12 hours a day, for seven days here at Bryant Park. The guard rail is up, The Fountain readied as a centerpiece in the foyer of the tent. The framing of that foyer erected. |

| Ticket availability for 8/30 Dracula's Ball |

| [ | Current Mood |
| | busy | ] | If you want tickets by mail, tonight is your last chance to order them. At noon on Wednesday, IsoTank will stop shipping tickets for the Ball via mail. You can still get them in person from Ticketmaster outlets or at Digital Ferret CDs (215-925-9259), at Nocturne (http://www.myspace.com/nocturnewednesdays) or you can get will-call tickets from Ticketmaster online or by phone.
Most importantly, tickets WILL be available at the door the night of the show. This Ball will NOT be sold out. As always, advance tickets are cheaper, get you through the door more quickly, and guarantee you a place inside.
The next Ball isn't until November, so don't miss us this Saturday!

| Join the Agents of SORP today! |
[Aug. 26th, 2008|02:04 pm] |
Are you looking for a fast paced career in the exciting field of mass destruction and extermination of all who oppose you? If you have what it takes and hate the vast majority of the knuckle dragging, Starbucks and Krispy Kreme consuming, mouth breathing populace, then the Agents of SORP are looking for you! Many shifts and positions are available. We offer great benefits, 401K as well as the opportunity to be a part of a growing organization that will soon encompass the entire free world under our iron fist. Actually, it's an iron fist with metal spikes and a Slayer bumper sticker on it. We're currently working on also figuring out a way to get a taser attached to it but it keeps killing all our test subjects, so for now it's just the spikes and the sticker, which I assure you, is adequately fearsome. Previous experience in mass destruction and customer service are a plus. Apply in person at WWW.EVILKICKSASS.COM |
